Dhiffushi is an idyllic island and perfect for a short getaway, offering pristine beaches, a beautiful and calm lagoon, a welcoming community, and plenty of activities that cater to both adults and little ones. Here's a detailed account of our 2-night stay in a local guesthouse on Dhiffushi, only a 30-minute speedboat from the airport.

We chose a charming local guesthouse called Araamu for our stay (if we were to go back I would probably opt with a different guesthouse option as the location of this one was not great), but it still turned out to be just right for us. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and had its own restaurant. The staff were hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

After a smooth check-in, we couldn't wait to hit the beach. Dhiffushi's beaches are a slice of paradise - soft, white sand and crystal-clear waters. Our toddler had a blast building sandcastles and splashing in the shallow waters. We spent the afternoon relaxing under the shade of palm trees, enjoying the gentle sea breeze.

In the evening, we decided to explore the island. Dhiffushi is small enough to walk around, and we discovered charming local shops and eateries. The locals were friendly, and we felt very safe. We had dinner at a local restaurant, savouring fresh seafood while our toddler enjoyed some delicious Maldivian snacks.

Our second day started with a local breakfast at the guesthouse. We then headed back to the beach for more sun and fun. Dhiffushi's calm waters are ideal for toddlers, making it easy for our little one to enjoy the sea safely.

Dhiffushi was the perfect destination for a peaceful family getaway. The island's tranquil environment, combined with the friendly locals and beautiful beaches, made our stay memorable. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place to unwind with your family, Dhiffushi should definitely be on your list.
